Virginia Kling

Virginia has been helping guide parents, children, and caregivers through their family law matters for more than fifteen years.  In addition to her extensive experience litigating in both the Maryland and District of Columbia courts, she serves as a mediator to help parties resolve their disputes without the need for court intervention. Virginia finds it particularly rewarding to help her clients get through what is often one of the most difficult points in their lives to a new, more positive beginning.

Prior to establishing Virginia Kling Family Law & Mediation, Virginia was a founding partner of Brody Kling PLLC, a boutique family law firm in Washington, D.C.  Before that, she served as Legal Director of DC Volunteer Lawyers Project, representing clients in family law matters while also supervising volunteer lawyers and overseeing legal issues and attorney training programs for the organization. Virginia has also acted as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for children in both custody and neglect matters.

Prior to practicing family law, Virginia was a partner at Baach Robinson & Lewis. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable James A. Belson of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and was an associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering.

Bar memberships: District of Columbia, Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court.
